Leah Nobel

This weekend in Dallas!

There’s a new project a’comin.

Hey Everybody! I seem to be horrible at keeping this blog up- to -date, current, and interesting. I’m hoping to change that.

Guess what… i’m working on a new project!

Most likely: a yet-to-be-titled musical endeavor (an EP i’m thinking) will be released digitally Summer of 2012.

I’m excited to be in the studio- every time I am there I feel utterly at peace with myself, it feels like home.

I hope that sentiment will shine through when you listen to some of my new material.

” Winter Song” Cover

Hey all! Happy holidays! I think it is important to be thankful all year around, but I am always reminded of how lucky and blessed I am during the holiday season. Thank you to all who continue to support me in my personal and musical lives. You are wonderful and appreciated.

Posted below is a cover of “Winter Song” by Ingrid Michaelson and Sara Bareilles that I did with fellow musician Daniel Park. Daniel is extremely kind and very talented, so check out some more of his music at http://www.danielparkmusic.com/.

Leighelena Jewelry Shoot

Hey All! Hope everyone is loving this beautiful holiday season! I for one am thoroughly enjoying the drop off in temperature here in Austin. It finally feels like winter. I have been drinking a lot of tea and wearing a jacket that makes me look like a fur-lined tootsie roll! But on to the important stuff:

I recently had the opportunity to collaborate with SOCO jewelry designer and vintage shop Leighelena for a ’60s inspired photoshoot. Leighelena has gorgeous cuffs, and tons of funky retro clothing! They were so fun to work with!

Photographer Laura Spector and I traipsed around downtown Austin, (me in go-go boots, and she in regular shoes) and captured some awesome shots. Featured in some shots is fellow model/musician Maggie Leyenberger from the Austin band Holiday!

We had a blast!

Paper Boat (LIVE & Acoustic)

fireplace (live)

I’m starting a new endeavor and I am calling it fireplace (live). Why fireplace (live) you may be asking? Well, because I am going to be recording and filming original material in my home, in front of my fireplace. (real creative title, I know).

In an era where so many of our mainstream artists don’t write their own material and use artificial help to sing and perform, I feel that it is important to be able to showcase “the raw”. Which is the nickname I have bestowed on live, untouched performances; a true showcase of an artists’ ability.

So behold; the first installation of fireplace (live), an original song of mine called, “Run”.

I hope you enjoy.

Lean on Me

I’ve always loved this song ever since I first sang it in grade-school choir. Here’s my take on it.
